Chinese Antique Porcelain ‘Oil Spot’ Glaze Tea Ceremony Ware Jianyao Bowl
A spectacular Oil Spot glazed Jianyao (possibly Jizhou) tea bowl to be used for the sacred Tea Ceremonies, seen primarily in China and Japan. The conical tea bowl rising to a slightly inverted mouth rim, covered in a thick iron-rich glaze with rust-coloured oil spots, stopping short of the small dark biscuit foot with good wear.
