Orr is a Missouri artist known for his plein air paintings.
He was a student of Anthony Allison and noted western artist John Coleman.
Orr was one of the founders of the National Oil & Acrylic painter's Society.
He has participated in many exhibitions including solo shows at Birger Sandzen Memorial KS; Harwell Art Museum MO; Ashby-Hodge Gallery of American Fine ...Art MO; Norfolk Art Center NE; Kodner Galleries MO; Morris & Whiteside Galleries SC, as well as multi-artist shows Knickerbocker Artists Exhibits and the Salmagundi Club NY.
His works are in collections at Laguna Art Museum CA; Ashby-Hodge Gallery MO; Ella Carothers Dunnegan Museum MO; and State of Missouri Historical Society MO.
