This is a wonderful antique cross stitch sampler, showing various alphabets, stitched with multi colored thread on cotton cloth. The sampler is Belgian and is dated 1866. It is signed 'Rosalie Raes, Westerloo'. Westerloo is a small town in Flanders, Belgium.
It measures approximately 12 1/4 x 11 inches or 31 x 28 cm. The sampler is in good condition, considering its age. The cloth has a few spots on it.
