Original Description:
An original Civil War 1/4 plate tintype of a Federal Light Artillery Corporal in full uniform. He is wearing a regulation shell jacket with Model 1851 swordbelt with holster visible. His pants are tinted light blue. The corporal stripes on his right arm are very lightly tinted red to indicate that he was an artilleryman. Image has a few bumps and bruises but everything is visible. Housed in a thermoplastic 1/2 case.The other tintype was found behind the military image and is tintype of... the same man, a little older, with his wife and now sporting a beard.
