Vintage Pair Copper Hammered and Cast Candlesticks Arts and Crafts era, 1920s. Eucalyptus leaf and seedhead. These are unmarked on the bottom but have been identified and are believed to be Old Mission Kopperkraft. These copper candle holders are 6 inches tall and 2.75 inches across the base. The cups that hold the candles are a little smaller than for a standard candle, measuring about .75 inches in the opening so a small amount of wax was carved off the candle in the photo to make it... fit. The base and the top cup that holds the candle are hammered copper. There is a copper stem that connects the cup to the base. Attached to the base and stem is a long eucalyptus leaf and an attached seed pod which were probably cast. Fred Brosi, founder of Old Mission Kopperkraft, used to gather eucalyptus leaves and seed pods in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park and bronze them. At first glance these holders look identical but there is variation in the leaves and seed pod decoration on them. They are both in excellent condition. They are vintage, preowned.
