to benefit our great charity Equality NowEquality Now Hat, Signed by Signed by Joss Whedon, Creator & Writer of Firefly & Serenity. Joss' favorite charity is Equality Now in honor of his mother, which is also why the primary charity of CSTS was chosen to be Equality Now. In the past 14 years, the Browncoats (Firefly fans) have raised more the $1.3 million dollars for Equality Now and other charitie...s. Hat was donated by the Browncoats of New York City (Browncoats of NYC on Facebook). Signatures were donated by the celebrities at various Comic Con conventions throughout the eastern coast of the United States. Each hat comes with a small paper printout with picture(s) of the person(s) who autographed the hat.
Equality Now works toward a just world for women and girls by using the law to change the world. Since 1992, their international network of lawyers, activists and supporters have held governments responsible for ending legal inequality, sex trafficking, sexual violence & harmful practices, such as female genital mutilation (FGM) & "child marriage".
eBay will send 90% of winning auction bids directly to Equality Now via their PayPal Giving Fund. The remaining 10% covers cost of items, custom framing (for some items), and excess shipping costs.
