Offered in this sale is a stunning, big, bold and beautiful French porcelain covered tureen bowl entirely hand painted and gilt accented that was made by Atelier Le Tallec for Tiffany... & Company. It has a large applied pear cover knob. It is extensively marked on the underside of the base TIFFANY & CO LIMITED PRIVATE STOCK HAND PAINTED MADE IN FRANCE, along with a blue painted Le Tallec company mark and the artists initials SHF. It measures 13" in diameter including the handles, 10" across the top and in 6 3/4" tall overall. The base alone is 3 3/4" deep. It weighs more than six pounds. The condition is MINT. There are absolutely no chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines or restoration of any kind. In addition, there is no wear to any of the applied gilt. The quality and detail of every aspect of this piece is second to known.
