Antique doll trunks are a great accessory for antique dolls or just to sit on your book shelf and look interesting! This humpback trunk is in quite good condition for its age. It is made of wood, covered in a stenciled type paper, I guess is how you would describe it. There is of course some areas of missing paper, as would be expected. However, it is of sound construction. It has the desirable lift out tray in which to store small items that ...is made up of two separate areas. There is a Victorian picture affixed to the inside of the top. Inside is nice and clean. The top of the trunk could use a dusting. The black trim around the front and sides has come off in parts and I did attempt to fix some of this....but it did not come out as I thought it would, but looks ok. Trunk measures about 16 by 11 by 10 inches. Unusual to find is the key that goes to this trunk......a nice little extra.
