This is an applied blob top Warner's Safe Kidney & Liver Cure bottle from the late 1880s....nice bold crisp embossing with big bold safe!

Hand blown in mold, bimal......crude applied blob top collar....amber....oval....9 1/2"tall....Excellent condition with no chips or damage. A dug bottle with some light ...inside haze.
H.H.Warner was a salesman of safes before he got into the patent medicine business in the early 1880s. He decided to use the trade mark safe to put in peoples minds that his line of family medicines were safe to use. This "Safe" Kidney & Liver Cure was advertised "For Kidney & Liver Bright's Disease Jaundice, Gravel Stones, Dropsy, Impotency....Tumors, Irregular Periods, Convulsions, Female Complaints....Debility, Malaria...etc.."
Warner spent lavishly on advertising his medicines all over the U.S.A. which paid off greatly, because soon Warner had branches all over the world and became a very wealthy man.
