Circa 1895 Set of 5 CHANTILLY spoons from Gorham. Monogrammed with an 'M'. Set includes 4 teaspoons and 1 fluted sugar spoon. Stamped with the old Gorham mark as well as pat. 95. The Chantilly pattern was introduced in 1895 and is one of the most popular sterling silverware pattern of the 20th Century. Designed by William Christmas Codman, and named for the Chantilly region in Northern France, Codman described the pattern as having "exquisite elegance, simplicity, timeless character an...d harmony of effect in every detail." Set is in good condition for its age but has not been polished and is sold as is.
