Description: An unusual and lovely English George V solid sterling silver Art Deco cylinder shaped retractable power brush with the original screw fitted rabbit hair brush and hinged fitted lid. Which has a blue coloured Guilloche enamel exterior with a gilded body and engine turned decorated handle. The power brush is hallmarked with the import hallmarks for Stockwell & Co, date hallmark for 1928 and import mark for London. It's a highly unusual object which would make a superb ad...dition to your collection.
Maker & Date Hallmark: Maker Stockwell & Co (Registered June 1907) . Dated 1928 and assay hallmark Import London.
Measurements: Length 8 cm and Width 1.3 cm.
Condition: Excellent condition and works as it should with no problems. There are no dents, dings, splits, knocks, holes or repairs. The Guilloche enamel is in overall very good condition to the body with no splits, cracks or repairs. The lid does have a small chip to the enamel but nothing to major or anything that noticeable. Which is visible in picture 5. The power brush twists open as it should and closes tightly shut with no problems. The brush is in lovely clean condition with no issues. The gilt to the exterior does have some slight wear which is to be expected with its age. The hallmarks to the body, handle and interior of the lid are very visible but the makers mark to the body is rubbed. The handle is engraved with some initials which are PLI. Overall a lovely object of such highly unusual quality which is ready to be added to your collection.
