Description A handsome large genuine English antique solid sterling silver photograph frame by the silversmiths Green & Cadbury Ltd - (1903 - 1934) in good condition and with full English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1919. Lovely quality original 100 year old ste...rling silver frame, (definitely not a modern re-production), a nice large 9 inch size, with a silver mounted front with decorative border edge rims and is complete with its original solid wood backing and hinged easel stand. Also has its protective glass front and there are no added personal engraved monograms or initials.Measurements Measures approx. 9 inches (228mm) x 7 inches (176mm). The photo opening is approx 7.5 inches x 5.5 inches. Date English antique solid sterling silver with a full set of silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1919 (date letter "u"). Good clear readable marks.Maker Silversmiths initials "G & Co Ld" (Green & Cadbury Ltd - (1903 - 1934).
Condition Good condition, with no splits or repairs, definitely no wear holes and no nasty knocks or dents, just has typical tiny little surface bruises from use, really nothing much at all and a nice genuine antique 100 year old example. The original wood backing is still in good condition and the original easel stand works perfectly. The stand hinge and all retaining catches are original and intact and the protective glass has no cracks. Handsome large usable size and with no added personal engraved inscriptions.
