The second pair has only a ball catch one one side, non-mortising hinges, and half ...of a catch on the back. No glass. It is not finished to the same degree as the other, only stained.
Both these doors are red oak. Corners were butt-joined and then pegged. The finished door is more quarter-sawn than the second, which would have been in a less visible location if I was still at my old place.
The finished doors were in a cabinet in a larger apartment I had until a year or two ago. I no longer have space for the cabinet, so I've broken it down and recycled it into something more compact. However, the doors are too nice to recycle, so I'm putting them up for someone else to use. The unfinished doors were for another project that was never finished.
If I'm shipping to the buyer, I'll be removing the catches from the backs so that the box can be smaller. On the other hand, if you want to pick the doors up in person, I'll leave them as-is. They are in San Jose, but I can bring them further up the peninsula on s Sunday or Monday... we'll work it out. Good luck and build something new around them. If I had the space, I'd build a sideboard.
