Two of the rods and the silver colored decorative corner braces are made of metal and there is also a metal plate with the company information on one side.This abacus is in excellent like new condition. It is very clean with only some very light marks it's picked up over the decades.This item will weigh2 to 3 pounds when packed for shipping.
