Sorry to have to re-list this sax. The previous high bidder and winner DID NOT PAY for the two horns he bid on, including the silver tenor sax. This was a waste of everyone's time and effort. So, PLEASE DO NOT BID if you don't intend to follow through on your purchase.
This is a very old Martin Silver Alto Saxophone. Serial Number 87998 and marked as Low Pitch. The body is in very clean condition, please see the photos. It is NOT in playable condition. It will ...need pads and a neck cork. ALL of the Mother-of-Pearl is present and there are NO serious dents or dings.There is the usual hand wear on the fork and right side keys. The keys are all functional, no spring issues. This instrument DOES NOT come with a case. It will be packed carefully in a heavy cardboard box with styrofoam pellets and bubble wrap. I have spent many years rebuilding woodwind instruments and I retired a few years back and this was one of a few left over projects in my collection. I also have a silver KING tenor up for auction as well. I WILL NOT SHIP OUTSIDE THE USA, so do not bid.
Now for the best part of this auction. It has to go. Take a very good look at the pictures. There is NO RESERVE and I am listing ti with a very low starting price.
