A super quality 800 silver and enamel ArtDeco cigarette case. It is hallmarked with the 800 standard mark the makersmark GM and another mark and it dates to c1940 possibly Austrian or Hungarian. It has been stylishly designedhaving engine turning to both its front and back with blue enamel detailing tothe front and the cartouche has been engraved with the initials KS. The insidehas been gilded and retains its straps. It is in superb condition being freefrom dings splits and repairs. Th...e hinge is strong and the catch worksperfectly. It measures 4.25 inches (10.8cms) long by 3.25 inches (8.3cms) wideby 0.5 inch (1.2cms) thick and weighs 155 grams. A very high stylish example.
