ITEM: You are bidding on an original 1920s Canco company tin litho covered round Beautebox box with an image of Silent Film Hollywood superstar Gloria Swanson by Henry Clive. Our gallery loves the artist Henry Clive and we sold this original oil painting that was used as the illustration for this design many years ago. Clive came to Hollywood from Australia and originally worked as a slight of hand magician he also acted in a few early 1920s silent films before he transitioned to a fine career as an Illustrator. Love the costuming on this design - a nod to the vaudeville shows of the era.
