Fantastic Masonic Knights Templar pin, dated 1870. From Weymouth, MA - South Shore. I admit to knowing very little about these pins - there's lots of latin inscribed, part of which says "the truth is great and shall prevail".
Bright gold tone brass with red, white and black inlaid enameling. Very good condtion overall - some darkening to the brass on the top bar and some wear to the back of the emblem. Enamel is excellent. Pin is tight.
Marked by mak...ers Iron and Russell. Comes in original box, which is in poor condition. Measures 3" long by 1-1/2" wide.
Great addition to any collection!
