This is for a nice little Georgian travelling inkwell and dip pen from the late 1700s. It is quite a rare shape in this flat rectangular form, most of the really early pocket inkwells of this style were oval and tapering in shape. It is covered in bright red Morocco leather and the body and pen are solid silver. The pen just pulls out and it extends for use by way of the ring slider. Both the inkwell and pen are in nice condition, there is light wear as you can see but overall consider...ing its age, it is really very goo there are no splits in the leather at all, just surface wear. It stands 54mm tall.
