A wonderful condition 18th Century Dutch black glass onion form wine bottle, circa 1700 – 1730.
This free blown bottle is deep, dark olive green in color. The form is an early bulbous shape. It has a high cone shape kicked up underside; a deep, sharp, and circular pontil scar; and a tapering neck with an applied overlapping string rim.
The condition of this bottle is excellent! There are no cracks. There are no chips. The surface on this nearly 300 year ol...d bottle shows it was found under water where it spent most of its life. It is in untouched original condition. Usually these onion bottles have some damage - this bottle has NONE. This one is a true KEEPER!
