The Babe Ruth of fighter pilots, Rickenbacker shot down 26 Germans during World War I and received the Medal of Honor. Original press stamp and caption with JUL 13 1925 stamp date are on the reverse. This is a superb portrait photograph of the most successful fighter ace of WWI - in uniform, as captured by the famed Washington DC photography studio.
