LARGE c1900 CHINESE EXPORT STERLING SILVER DRAGON & PHOENIX CIGARETTE CARD CASE Hello, Thank you for having a look at our auctions! Up for auction is a LARGE c1900 CHINESE EXPORT STERLING SILVER DRAGON & PHOENIX CIGARETTE CARD CASE. Of great handmade quality throughout with large and finely detailed dragon and phoenix design. We could not find a hallmark, which is common on earlier Chinese examples. The box tests a strong .800 grade solid silver. The box is a large enough size to hold common size credit and business cards, which such boxes are also commonly used for today.
Condition: Could use minor cleaning otherwise fine estate-fresh condition as seen. Box closes tightly with clasp in good working order.
Size: The box is a nice large size example measuring 4 3/4 inches long, by 3 5/8 inches wide and 1/2 of an inch thick. The box weighs 156 grams.
