ANTIQUE CAHILL ART DECO CAST IRON 24" FIREPLACE COAL GRATE HOPPER MARKED 1827 & 24

Not certain if 1827 is the model number or a date reference. The 24 is the width of the piece. The condition of this item is indicative of its age.

Rear width approx. 20.25
Height in back is approx. 11.25
Depth approx. 9.25

Minimal signs of wear.

Very nice antique cast iron item that was made for the upper class of it's ...period as a coal burner to be placed inside or just outside of a residential fireplace.

The inside grate appears to be metal. It does not look original to me. See pic.

It is very heavy.This is a very desirable collectible item.
