c1760, ANTIQUE 18th CENTURY GEORGIAN 1/2 PINT STERLING SILVER TANKARD BEER MUGDescription:An antique George III sterling silver half pint beer mug/tankard, likely dating to the 18th century, circa 1760. The mug stands on a stepped pedestal base, leading up to a hand hammered polished baluster form body and folded upper rim with a decorative double scroll handle. The initials 'CAB' are engraved to the front. The underside is fully hallmarked as follows:Makers Mark: CH (struck ...twice)Silver grade: Lion passant mark for Sterling 925 Silver Assay office: Crowned leopard head - LondonDate: absent

Condition:In good antique condition, with some light age related wear and shallow indentations, also to the base which means it wobbles very slightly. There are also some scratches to the underside.
