A beautiful Antique Tea tin made in the classic Chinese Tea caddy shape- litho printed with a fabulous pair of Royal portraits for King George the fifth and Queen Mary. A Royal crest flanks the portraits each side and The Kings crown atop the cap/lid. The coronation of George V and his wife Mary of Teck as king and queen of the United Kingdom and the British Empire took place at Westminster Abbey, London, on 22 June 1911.No Tea brand however its likely this would have been a promotion...al or Coronation commemorative piece produced by a tea company to cash in on the Royal fervor Coronations bring in the Commonwealth- and its possibly even a local Australian production?The tin is in fine vintage condition- age appropriate wear only.
