Original Description:
This is a beautiful signed, life-size wood carving of a red-headed woodpecker perched on a tree trunk by Hanover Pennsylvania artist/carver Barb Rohrbaugh.  It is a one-of-a-kind hand carving, created in 2000.  It stands approximately  9 1/2 inches tall and is 3 inches wide and has a slot in the back so it can be displayed on a wall.  The one flaw I must point out to be honest with any prospective buyer is that the tip of the beak on one side has broken off (see pho...tos 8 and 9).  Hung properly, this flaw is not very noticeable (see photo 6) but I do want you to be aware of it.  Very accurate, very detailed, this is a beautiful piece.  The eyes and feet in particular are very realistic.  See all photos for an idea of condition and detail.
