SERVICED Vintage Lighted Realist Red Button 3D Stereo Slide Viewer ST-61 + Unusual Original Box, Manual, and 40 Kodachrome SLIDESVIEWER HAS BEEN SERVICED, TESTED & WORKS GREAT!___________________________________________________
I've collected 3D Stereo items for the last 30 years. It's come time that I pass along these hard to find items to someone else to enjoy. This is a battery operated Realist Red Button Stereoscopic Viewer Model ST 61 in the original (an...d unusual) box that it came in, the original instruction manual, PLUS 40 vintage Kodachrome color 3D slides. This was all manufactured by the David White Company and was made to accompany the Realist Stereo cameras.
Condition of the Viewer:It's EXCELLENT! The interocular adjustment and focus work perfect! The lenses are clean and clear and the focus adjustment and interocular adjustments work perfectly. I have gone through the viewer, cleaned the lenses and all electrical contact points, put in a new bulb and tested it thoroughly - It works GREAT! The viewer has been used and does have some small superficial wear on the top and bottom. Despite these imperfections, there are no cracks or chips in the bakelite. It takes two "D" size batteries (not included) so it's mobile and can be taken anywhere.
Condition of the Box & Instruction Manual:The original 1950s box was for a Realist Viewer & Camera. The box has a duel purpose... It can hold the viewer and camera (the camera which has been long lost), or can hold the viewer and up to 40 slides, as can be seen in my photos. The box does have wear, but it is very sturdy and holds the viewer and slides securely. The original instructional manual is in excellent condition and will teach you all you need to know about your viewer. This is a very nice original set!
Condition of the Vintage Slides:In addition to the viewer and box, there are 40 vintage color 3D Realist format slides included which were taken in the 1960s or 70s. They are all Kodachromes in Kodak cardboard mounts. At quick glance, they appear to be pictures of family and family vacations. The condition of all slides is excellent with no damage or fading. The 3D is very cool!
