George III Solid Sterling Silver Soup Ladle Divider London 1808
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:15331683 | Age: 1800-1849 |
Composition: Solid Silver |
This is a good quality Georgian soup ladle or divider in the classic fiddle pattern.
The piece is solid sterling silver, as can be seen with the London assay office hallmark for 1808 and the makers mark SB & JB which I believe is Sarah and John William Blake.
The ladle is 33 cms long and has a nice weight, weighing approximately 200g. It is in overall great condition for its age and cleans to a very nice shine. Do remember this piece is antique piece over 200 years so do not ...expect a brand new look.
This would make a lovely quality and unusual gift for someone which can still be enjoyed today.
Any questions please do ask.
