Original early-war made carrying sling for the DP-28, a Russian light machine gun.
The sling is made of khaki canvas and leather straps. There is a metal buckle on one end of the sling and a pin on another. The leather ends are made of buckskin - this is an old-fashioned method of leather working. The post-war items, for example, were made of tanned leather. There is a moving leather pad in the middle of the sling, which can make carrying the gun easier. Sling length is around ...48 inches.
