Original Description:
This is authentic of the late 1800s/early 1900s.  Hand-embroidered with lush, dimensional pure silk chenille flowers/leaf motifs on a silk/cotton velveteen base (fine, flat velvet with original 3/8" selvedges on either side).  It has been folded over on either side where selvedges are and there are dense pinholes in this area at the fold line).  There are no other rips, tears or stains, aside from the slit as aforementioned in "Condition Description" above.
Pure silk ...chenille flowers/buds are dense and simply gorgeous and are buttery soft in texture.   Velveteen base consists of silk/cotton fiber content.   Suitable for pillow making, etc.

This measures approximately 19.5" across (excluding area where it has fold lines) OR 21.5" opened up completely.  It is approximately 17.5" - 18" on either side top-to-bottom edge, 17.5" at midpoint at tip of scallop.
