At the top are shield and scallop shell designs and the shieldisinlaid on one side with an enameled gold pansy. Thisrepresents the French word pensée which is the French word for bothpansy and thought or sentiment, sort of a 'thinking of you' message.
The conditionis excellent with no chips, cracks o...r other damage. It measures 2 1/2"long. It's a piece fromthe PalaisRoyal in Paris, Circa 1810-1820.
