Knight's Templar Freemason's Commander Sword.Grip has the initials PSB, double etched blade is named on one side "PAUL S. BURGESS".Paul Steere Burgess was Dean and Director of the College of Agriculture at the University of Arizona, and was the 11th President of the University 1936-1937.Blade is etched M.C. Lilley & Company, indicating the sword was manufactured prior to 1931, when the company name changed.Sword is in used condition...: There are light scratches to the nickeled scabbard. The etched blade has been handled and not oiled properly over the years, so there is darkening along the length of the blade were it was touched by fingers.I have tried to show this in the photos.Overall an attractive sword with a traceable history.See the photos.
