PLEASE READ PRIOR TO BIDDING:Direct from a local doctor's downsizing sale I have acquired many antique microscope slides. I was told these slides all date to the late 1800's, very early 1900's. I am going to try to list several of them at a time in the coming days/weeks. Please realize I know very little about these slides and if I make a mistake in listing or if you would be able to provide me more information about a slide or slides I would truly appreciate it. ...;Likewise if you have any questions I can possibly answer just ask. Some of the slide preparers are C.M. Topping, W.A. Firth, W. Watson & Sons, Clark & Page, Flatters & Garnett and Accurate that are still marked.A very knowledgeable and helpful eBay member told me that it appears that (who knows when or why) but at some point the previous owner of the collection prior to the local Dr. had added their own labels. For that reason there will be ones that I cannot say who prepared them and you will have to make that determination if you can.I am leaving the slides and selling them in as found condition as to not risk any damages and if they need cleaning or whatever will let the new owners do what they wish.Unless I note it on the page, there are no chips to the slide.Some of the slides I cannot make out exactly what is written and in that case I will leave it to the bidders to see if they can tell what it is or says. I am going to run all the slides as an auction format starting at 5.00 and 4.99 shipping.For DOMESTIC BUYERS, if you bid on and win more than 1 then please DO NOT pay until all the slides come off that night and at that point I will send you an invoice with only 1 shipping at 4.99.For buyers outside the U.S. the items will be sent via eBay Global Shipping and the shipping charge should show up on your bidding page for you.These are the first items I have listed for the eBay Global shipping and do not hold me to it but according to eBay, if a buyer wins more than 1 and waits to pay all their items at once it can combine the shipping.Like I said, that was what I was told on the phone by an eBay service rep but perhaps if you have bought through the Global Shipping before you already may have an idea how that works.Now....that's all the small print.Thanks....Mel
