Hello, here is a very nice and slightly restored Knightia fossil fish in its 50 Million Year Old Green River Formation Matrix!Here's More Info....Fifty-million years ago an ancient Lake existed in what is now Southwest Wyoming. The unusual chemistry of the lake created conditions that prevented decay and scavenging, while alternating layers of limestone and organic matter accumulated. The resulting laminated limestone contains the highest concentration of articulated fish fossils in t...he world. The overall piece or matrix measures 12.4cm or 4 7/8" at its biggest!
