W/ A...dditional Lenses including Bausch & Lomb
You are bidding on a wonderful antique microscope from Leopold Schrauer. Schrauer first began the manufacture of microscopes in Boston but moved to NYC by 1877; the front of this Microscope is marked NY so I date this to the late 1870 to early 1880 time period. This microscope is 13" high fully extended with lens inserted. It is 6.5" deep an 4.25" wide. Two of the lenses are marked Seibert and one is Bausch & Lomb. The wooden case is 8" x 12" and 5" deep.
Condition of the scope is good. There is some minor de-silvering of the mirror in the center on both sides. Otherwise, parts move smoothly and are in good order. The wooden case has a crack on the reverse however it is still functional and has its original key.

We know how to pack, using the proper materials to best protect your purchase. Occasionally, we pack lots of fragile items, like a dinner service, and may choose to ship in multiple smaller packages rather than one large box. Experience shows that smaller, lighter packages are more likely to arrive undamaged than larger, heavier ones. This may result in increased shipping costs which are the responsibility of the buyer. We ship typically the day following receipt of your payment. We leave feedback the day of shipment and ask that you would leave feedback to let us know that you received your item.
