This is a late 19th Century Masonic medal dated 1880 from New York City, NY. Reference Rulau NY-Ny 63V & So Called Dollar unlisted in new section Statutes & Monumnets #225
Obv. Monumnet Obelisk "The Egyptian Obelisk / Erected in Central Park, New York 1880 / Was transported from Egypt ".
Rev. Masonic sym...bols "Corner Stone laid by the Grand Lodge F & A. M./ State of New York / Oct. 9, 1880"
Very Rare in White Medal (should be slabbed) very few finer Shape Round - Plain Edge - Size 34.3 mm - Composition -White Medal Thickness 2.83 mm - Weight 13.45 grams Grade Abt. Uncirculated (Rim Nicks). soft medal -Proof Like surfacesConsidered a Masonic K.T. So Called Dollar
Purchased 12-2006.(had in collectioin 13 years). Took a long time to fimally find one for my collection
