This is a 1950 Golden Glove Boxing Championship Medal Sponsored by the San Francisco Examiner. The medal measures 1-3/4 inches long by 1 inch wide. The finish looks like real gold but it must be bronze or brass it has good weight, like bronze. The finish on the front is bushed finish with some patina and the letters and the edges are a high polish, which is hard to see in the photos. It is truly a beautiful medal. The front of the medal reads: GOLDEN... GLOVE BOXING CHAMPIONSHIPS 1950. The back reads: SPONSORED BY THE SAN FRANCISCO EXAMINER NOVICE CLASS WON BY (no name), 118 Lbs. It also has the makers name of GRANAT BROS.
