- Two charming, vintage, wide-mouth apothecary jars. One stands about 12-1/2" tall, the other 11-1/2" (with the lids on). Sides on the larger are 5-3/4" wide, the smaller jar's sides are about 5" wide.
- These jars were manufactured sometime between the mid 1950's to early 1960's when the process wasn't so precise as it is now.
- Today when can appreciate the "imperfections" captured in these jars because it makes each one unique whil...e looking "alike".
- Glass is clear in color with "imperfections" such as: Trapped air bubbles, dimples, wavy glass, varying thickness, and seams.
- The jars are square-shaped with rounded corners.
- Lids are relatively heavy and their fittings are grounded (hence the frosted look). NOTE chipping to the inner edges. Mainly just one lid has chips. The chips are rough but not sharp. (Acquired from the constant removing and putting back on over the years. See photos.)
- Jar mouth is also grounded and the opening on both measure approx. 4 inches in diameter.
- No manufacturer's stamping or identifying marks.
- Overall, jars are pretty clean with relatively minor scratches.
