For bid is an original circa 1908-1915 Los Angeles, California advertising poster for REAL ESTATE / LAND SALES for farmlands in the Sonora Valley of Mexico. The map on the poster indicates the lands were located around "NORIA" south of Arizona. Poster leads off with the sales title, "Why Pay from $500 to $1000 Per Acre for FARM LANDS." Poster is full of photographs and some information about the farmlands being offered for sale. Photos show agricultural scenes, ...harvests, farmers in the fields, cows grazing, orchards, etc. There is a chart of "Rainfall at Noria" and a map on one side. The Sonora Valley Land Company had offices at 416 California Building, 208 South Broadway, Los Angeles. Looks like the land was typically sold for $20.00 per acre when this poster was printed... One photo shows a 1900's automobile in a field with some landowners. Poster is not dated... There are some fold lines and minor edge wear. Poster measures 23 inches by 17 inches wide. Very good piece of land sales history for Mexican agricultural lands... This poster has a very good design and it's printed on relatively high quality paper for the time period. Poster will be shipped rolled.
