Original Swiss army issued dog tag "erkennungsmarke." Made of heavy, high quality stainless steel. Also called the "grabstein" or "grave marker" by soldiers. These replaced the old, white dog tags beginning in the 1950's, and were issued to both serving and new soldiers.
