SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA, USA, circa 1945 or earlier" APPROXIMATELY 42 INCHES BY 32 INCHES IN SIZE. Kept rolled, minor blemishes at the edges, otherwise A very clean map with lovely illustrations. Praise quotes for wine from famous people at the upper and ...lower edges.From circa 1945 or earlier (David Rumsey estimates the date as 1935, Swanns Auction Galleries estimated the date as circa1945.) Comes together with a flyer which we think is a part of this map (please do see the last pic. The flyer is 18.5 inches by 13.5 inches in size and also very clean.)From internet: The Schwabacher name belongs to one of San Francisco's more prestigious families: Schwabacher-Frey was a major West Coast printer and stationer, and Schwabacher and Company was a successful investment banking firm (we do think that the printing business was running in the 1930's and 1940's.)California residents are subject to sales tax.SHIPPING & HANDLING COSTS IN THE USA IS $49.99 BY insured USPS PRIORITY MAIL (will be shipped in a mailing tube.)International rates are much higher.
