For sale is an 8x10 vintage original type 2 photo of US 1st Division Marines pinned down by enemy fire on Peleliu beach September 15, 1944. This was one of America's objectives in the battle for the Palau Island group. Marines can be seen clearing a strong point and bunching up in ready to advance off the beach. This is a type 2 original re-strike from the defense department circa 1950's or 1960's. The photo has been UV tested and it does not glow. Guaranteed t...o be 100% authentic to the period.
