Listed for sale is a three (3) specimen lot of beautiful and extraordinarily rare full round limbs of Grassy Mountain agatized flat face mirror polished petrified wood originating in far Eastern Oregon. Grassy Mountain Wood is considered some of the finest agatized wood in the entire world with respect to dazzling colors and cellular replacement. These particular specimens are very colorful showing blue, amethystine purple, red, yellow and orange agate! In my opinion, Hubbard Basin, Nevada, is t...he only other location that has produced specimens that can even compare to the quality of Grassy Mountain Wood. The gem originates in Malheur County, Oregon and the deposit is considered to be depleted. The mirror flat face polished specimens weigh 4.2 ounces all together. Individually, the limbs weigh and measure 1.) 1.5oz, 34mm by 32mm by 26mm deep 2.) 1.6oz, 31mm by 28mm by 34mm deep 3.) 1.1 oz, 28mm by 20mm by 34mm deep. The cut and polished faces are upon the full round face and exterior bark is complete throughout the entirety of the circumference of all specimens. The three round limbs have an all natural termination as well. All photographs show the specimens dry. I will combine shipping for multiple purchases as long as the specimens can be packaged in a manner that will minimize the potential for damage.
