Art DecoEra Arts And Crafts Set Of 6 Buffalo China Plates Restaurant Ware. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
Very similar to Martin House and Roycroft vintage China dinnerware designed by A famous architect , 6 plates (2-sets of 6 available) that measure 8 1/4” across. No chips or cracks or obvious flaws- common in heavy restaurant ware of this era. there is slight color variation in the trim but not noticeable when the table is set. Each is marked Buffalo China ...on the back-some marks are in brown script, others are blue script. There is also a number mark, commonly seen in this type ware.The Art Deco flatware is not included-Used as display, but is for sale in another listing.I also have 6 matching 9” dinner plates now listed. I purchased these about 25 years at an estate sale in a Buffalo, New York mansion of a prominent attorney that was 94 years old when he died, so I am sure they are indeed authentic as to age.Please feel free to ask questions. I do not know the name of the pattern and I am unfamiliar with the building(s) that it might match. I am not a collector of this ware but appreciate the design of this interesting era and have enjoyed them for many years but only for display.I am basing the price on other similar Buffalo China of the same era and very closely resembles this design.
