Antique Primitive Virginia Farm Made TINY Oak Splint Buttocks Basket. Made specifically to hold TWO EGGS as Easter gifts or a present. Eggs were a treasured gift back in the day. Unlike today, you just didn't drop by the store and pick up a dozen eggs. Chickens also only laid an egg or two a week!This little treasure has a beautiful Tight Weave and Lashing Around The Handles. Electricity didn't come to this area until the early 1950's - It's that rural here in central Virginia. Measures: 5" Across x 4 1/2" wide x 2 1/2" Tall - Just the sweetest!Our family has owned this still working farm for over 240 years.
