Rare!Vintage Art Deco, Chinese necklace with carved Cinnabar, Bovine Bone, Black Onyx and silk tassel.2 very different kinds of Onyx.There are 8mm satin finished and then there are shinycarved beads in an hourglass shape.The bone sections are hand etched on both sides.So uniquely dramatic and absolutely socontemporary looking.Full length including tassel is 40"Lovingly knotted with silk.Statement necklace for sure.After 35 years of designing jewellery for museums and collecting b...eads, I am now offering my treasures to you, my valued eBay trading partner.I am particularly enchanted with the Chinese culture in all its glory.I take the liberty of redesigning old pieces, using ancient and vintagebeads in the Chinese styles of design.Where I feel that certain modern components will enhance, enrich and strengthenthe necklace, I go ahead and do it.I will not claim that a necklace is pre-owned when it's not. Most old and ancient necklaces are so fragile and loose, thatone cannot wear them without risking breakage, not to mention that they don't lookvery good either.So, what we have here is a 16" yummy, Carved Chinese Golden Jade, in a beautiful barrel design necklace in various shades of Golden-yellow.The tubular sections measure approx. 28mm x 9mm.The beautifully carved/pierced bell shaped pendant is 2" by 2"Hand Knotted with silk.Traditional gold-plated Chinese clasp.
