Extremely Unique and RARE WWII NAVY TrenchArt Ash Tray, Commemorating SUBMARINE LAUNCHDESCRIPTION: Original WWII trenchart souvenir ashtray. Very unusual compared with most trench art items seen, ESPECIALLY SINCE IT IS SUBMARINE RELATED. Scans show it all. Made to commemorate the SUBMARINE U.S.S. TARAWA: Keel laid 3-1-44, and ship launched 5-12-45. Built in the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Great NAVY INSIGNIA IMPRESSED IN THE BOTTOM. Has 3 small "trays" to hold cigarettes, andmain... area collects ashes. Measures about 5" diameter. Really cool looking. Well made and in excellentcondition. A VERY NICE WWII NAVY COLLECTIBLE, AND WOULD BE A GREAT GIFT FOR THE NAVY/SUBMARINE COLLECTOR.SHIPPING TERMS:Buyer pays $6.50 shipping costs in the US.
