This auction is for a RARE Antique & Exquisite Alvin .999/1000 Fine Silver Perfume Bottle with Silver Overlay with Silver Overlay Stopper. Size is approx. 3 1/4" tall with stopper, 2 1/2" tall without and 1 3/4" wide. It is marked with a 49, then 999/1000 Fine with the Alvin Hallmark (a letter "A" in an ornate cartouche) followed by "Patented" all stamped in the silver overlay. It has an engraved number "11" on the bottom of the bottle and matching number "11" on the bottom of the ...stopper. There is a monogram on the plaque in beautiful script that I can't quite decipher. Bottle and stopper are in excellent, aged condition. No chips or cracks on either piece. Please see photos for the best description of this beautiful piece.
