Lovely antique primitive 19th Century Early American (c1850s) wood candle box with an original hand painted folk art still life painting of berries on it.  The painting I would date to approximately the 1920s to 1950s.  Boasts a lovely creamy green painted finish with an intricate, almost fractur type, painting of blueberries and strawberries with laced vines coming off of the fruit.  Signed by the artist Jan in the bottom right hand corner.  A wonderful primit...ive Early American wood candle box with a great American berry Still Life painting on it that displays tremendously!
In Good condition considering age.  Box exhibits gentle wear.  Painting exhibits gentle wear, soiling, chipping, etc.
Measures 12 1/2” x 4 1/4 x 3” tall.
