This very unusual 15" wood ruler reads on the front Pat. Sept.2 1887 compliments of The Springfield F. & M. Ins. Co., Springfield, Mass. while on the backside Springfield F. & M. Ins. Co., Springfield, Mass., The largest Insurance Company in Massachusetts.The ruler has a round metal(magnetic) nose which has a couple of crimps and dings with a crack extending 1 1/4" along the line at the bottom of the 1/16" increments in the upper right corner. Wood surfaces have wear and s...potting from use.I try to describe my items fairly and honestly. Should I make a mistake, kindly let me know.
